Mini Ferrum was born from our desire to give our daughter the iron she needs - just like all children, to support cognitive development.
We asked ourselves: Shouldn’t it be possible to iron-fortify homemade food in a good and thoughtful way? A way based on our needs?
That question became the starting point of a new Swedish innovation.
This marked the beginning of a journey that led us to a science journalist and doctor in molecular biotechnology - and eventually to one of Sweden’s leading (and most humble) iron researchers.
With the researcher’s support and solid scientific evidence, we developed an entirely new solution: a clean source of iron for children, free from unwanted ingredients and made with natural heme iron.
The powder can be added to almost any meal, naturally enriching food with iron. And yes - we’re genuinely proud of what we created.
This innovation also became the foundation of Feméa, our iron supplements for women, developed with the same research-based approach.
After all, if iron deficiency often comes from too little iron in the diet, shouldn’t the solution be more of that type iron?
Perhaps the kind humans have relied on for hundreds of thousands of years - when we lived as hunter-gatherers and made use of the whole animal, including blood, bone marrow, and organ meats - naturally rich in heme iron.
Daring to think differently - that’s what Mini Ferrum is all about.
We are two parents who struggled with our daughter’s diet and chose to see things from a new perspective. That experience became the starting point of our journey.
We didn’t know it at the time, but it turned out we were more entrepreneurial than we ever imagined.
Today, we are driven by a genuine desire to make a real difference and to help as many people as possible. Profit is not what motivates us. Instead, we are committed to developing premium, health-promoting products - without ever compromising on quality.
