A More Sustainable World
Mini Ferrum is built on clear principles of circularity.
We actively strive to contribute to a more sustainable and circular world by better utilizing and creating value from vital nutrients that might otherwise be lost.
Mini Ferrum is built on clear principles of circularity.
We actively strive to contribute to a more sustainable and circular world by better utilizing and creating value from vital nutrients that might otherwise be lost.
Since ancient times, humans have sought to make full use of available resources. Meat, organs, blood, and bone marrow were all utilized, providing essential nutrients, minerals, and vitamins.
In the modern world, this approach has largely been forgotten. But for the sake of the planet and a sustainable future, we need to think more circularly again.
Advances in food technology now make it possible to extract high-quality raw materials from by-products of meat production - improving resource efficiency while increasing access to highly bioavailable iron.
One of these high-quality raw materials is our hemoglobin powder, derived from bovine blood. Hemoglobin - the oxygen-carrying component of red blood cells - is isolated and gently spray-dried to create a pure, nutrient-rich powder with long shelf life and naturally occurring heme iron.
Combined with innovative product formats, this makes it possible to replicate iron intake from traditional diets rich in organs, blood, and bone marrow - delivered with modern simplicity.
Maintaining healthy iron levels requires sufficient intake of bioavailable iron that the body can easily absorb. With hemoglobin powder, increasing heme iron intake does not require eating more meat.
By using hemoglobin powder in innovative formats, we improve resource efficiency within meat production and contribute to a more sustainable world.

We produce our powders in our own third-party certified facility in Helsingborg, giving us full control over quality and resource use. By manufacturing in-house, we can minimize transportation, make the best possible use of raw materials, and continuously work to reduce our climate footprint.
When collaborating with external producers, we carefully select our partners. We set high standards for sustainability, quality, and established environmental and sustainability management systems to ensure that our entire value chain aligns with our principles.
For our deliveries, we collaborate with established logistics providers that actively work to reduce their environmental impact and have clear sustainability goals.
Through initiatives such as investments in fossil-free transportation, more efficient logistics, and climate mitigation efforts, we strive to ensure that our products are delivered in the most sustainable way possible.
We also use recyclable packaging designed to minimize unnecessary material use.
Our goal is to continuously choose transport solutions that reduce our climate footprint and to actively follow developments toward even greener deliveries.
We select our raw materials with great care and work only with suppliers who can ensure high quality, full traceability, and responsible use of resources.
All materials are carefully reviewed and controlled in accordance with established quality and sustainability management systems.
We are affiliated with the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency’s producer responsibility scheme for packaging and participate in the recycling system through Naturvårdsverket and Gröna Punkten. This means we take responsibility for ensuring that our packaging is properly collected and recycled.
We continuously work to minimize our climate footprint through conscious material choices and by ensuring that our packaging is recyclable wherever possible.
For example, the pouches used for our heme iron powders are made from 100% recyclable plastic derived from renewable raw materials.
We aim to promote conscious and responsible consumption. Our products are designed to provide long-term dietary support and are therefore not intended for unnecessary or excessive use.
Hemoglobin - the iron source in our products - is a by-product of the meat industry: a nutrient-rich resource that would otherwise risk being lost. By utilizing it, we create added value from resources already available, contributing to a more circular world.
We take a thoughtful approach to using nutrients and resources, developing products without unnecessary additives or overproduction. For us, quality means using what we have in a careful and responsible way.
