You can now enrich your diet with 100% natural heme iron derived from beef, helping you support your daily iron needs. Maintaining an adequate iron intake is a fundamental requirement for supporting healthy iron levels in the body.

Heme iron is more easily absorbed by the body than non-heme iron (plant-based or synthetic iron). It is absorbed directly in the small intestine through a unique uptake mechanism, which sets it apart from all other forms of iron.

In addition, the absorption of heme iron is not affected by dietary components such as phytic acid and polyphenols, which are known to inhibit the absorption of non-heme iron (plant-based or synthetic iron).

Our premium supplement has been developed with carefully selected, high-quality ingredients. Production takes place in a certified facility in Sweden.

Iron supplements may be used when needed, for example during pregnancy, breastfeeding, heavy menstruation, intensive training, or after blood donation. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult a midwife or healthcare professional before use.

The recommended daily dose is two scoops of Feméa per day, providing 10 mg of heme iron. Each pack contains 335 g of Feméa (approximately 56 scoops), which is enough for around one month of use. Feméa is a heme iron powder that can be added to almost any food. We find it works particularly well in smoothies, banana pancakes, porridge, raw balls, and home-baked bread.

Origin of the hemoglobin powder: The Netherlands

Our hemoglobin powder is produced in the Netherlands by the only manufacturer of its kind within the EU capable of producing hemoglobin powder of this quality from cattle. Our specialized producer is a global leader in innovative and renewable raw materials derived from the meat industry and works exclusively with recovering valuable nutrients from by-products that would otherwise go to waste.

There is currently no niche organic production of this raw material. The cattle may come from different types of farms, provided that all quality and safety requirements are met.

The hemoglobin powder is rigorously tested for pathogens, pesticides, heavy metals, antibiotics, hormones, and other contaminants, and complies with one of the EU’s strictest regulatory frameworks for food production. Because the raw material, blood, when handled correctly, is essentially sterile, the final product is exceptionally pure. It is one of very few animal-based raw materials, possibly the only one, where organic production does not result in a higher-quality end product.

That said, we naturally support high standards of animal welfare and hope to see dedicated organic production become possible in the future.
