Nischad ekologisk produktion existerar inte utan djuren kan komma från alla typer av gårdar - så länge kvalitetskraven för hälsan hos det enskilda djuret är uppfyllda.
Hemoglobinpulvret analyseras sedan noggrant utifrån en rad olika markörer, t ex patogener, tungmetaller och pesticider - det är även garanterat fritt från hormoner & antibiotika.
Eftersom råvaran (blod) korrekt hanterad är steril, blir också hemoglobinet mycket rent. En av få animaliska råvaror som inte blir automatiskt bättre kvalitetsmässigt i ekologiskt utförande.
Vi förespråkar likväl självklart en god djuromsorg (vi är inga fan av den konventionella köttindustrin) och hoppas på en dedikerad ekologisk och svensk produktion i framtiden.
VARFÖR ÄR ERT JÄRN "LÅGDOSERAT"?
Forskning visar att hemjärn är unikt på flera sätt, bland annat har det en mycket högre biotillgänglighet än andra typer av järn (icke-hemjärn), som generellt används i traditionella järntillskott. Dessutom tas hemjärn upp via en unik upptagsmekanism i kroppen som skiljer det åt från alla andra järnformer.
Det går därför inte att jämföra hemjärnets doseringar med traditionella, kemiskt framställda järnformer av icke-hemjärn, t ex järnglukonat, järnsulfat, järnbisglycinat, järnpyrofasfat, järnfumarat eller liknande föreningar. Naturligt hemjärn går ej att koncentrera mer än vårt lufttorkade hemoglobinpulver.
Forskning visar att kroppen har svårare för att ta upp alla former av järn som som räknas till icke-hemjärn, vilket ofta kompenseras med mycket högre doseringar. I slutändan är det generellt sett endast en liten andel järn som faktiskt absorberas i kroppen oavsett om du använder en låg eller hög dos järn - men ju högre biotillgänglighet, desto mer absorberas per konsumerad dos.
Det betyder att ett lågdoserat tillskott med hemjärn, med hög biotillgänglighet - kan ge en mycket högre absorberad mängd järn i kroppen jämfört med ett högdoserat tillskott med låg biotillgänglighet.

Our hemoglobin powder is produced in the Netherlands by the only manufacturer of its kind within the EU capable of producing hemoglobin powder of this quality from cattle. Our specialized producer is a global leader in innovative and renewable raw materials derived from the meat industry and works exclusively with recovering valuable nutrients from by-products that would otherwise go to waste.
There is currently no niche organic production of this raw material. The cattle may come from different types of farms, provided that all quality and safety requirements are met.
The hemoglobin powder is rigorously tested for pathogens, pesticides, heavy metals, antibiotics, hormones, and other contaminants, and complies with one of the EU’s strictest regulatory frameworks for food production. Because the raw material, blood, when handled correctly, is essentially sterile, the final product is exceptionally pure. It is one of very few animal-based raw materials, possibly the only one, where organic production does not result in a higher-quality end product.
That said, we naturally support high standards of animal welfare and hope to see dedicated organic production become possible in the future.

The Feméa range is intended for women of reproductive age, but can be used by anyone who wants to enrich their diet with natural heme iron. Iron supplements may be appropriate during periods of increased need, such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, heavy menstrual bleeding, intense physical activity, or after blood donation.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should always consult a midwife or doctor before use. -
Heme iron always comes from animal sources and is absorbed significantly more efficiently by the body than so-called non-heme iron, which is found in plant-based and synthetic sources in various forms. Heme iron is also considered a gentle source of iron.
This is partly due to its higher bioavailability compared to other forms of iron, and partly because it is absorbed through a unique uptake mechanism,likely involving the transport protein Heme Carrier Protein 1 (HCP1).
Other forms of iron must first be broken down in the stomach before they can be absorbed in the small intestine via a different transport protein, DMT1. -
There is currently no certified organic production of hemoglobin powder within the EU. This is because hemoglobin powder is a highly specialized foodtech raw material that is produced from blood collected during meat production, and no dedicated organic supply chain exists for this specific ingredient at present.
The cattle used may come from both conventional and organic farms, provided that all strict EU quality, safety, and traceability requirements are met. Regardless of farming type, the raw material must comply with one of the EU’s most stringent regulatory frameworks for food production.
